The Policy Update on Manufacturing Development gives an overview of major constraints in the development of the manufacturing industry in China, describes what core competencies should be strengthened and how China plans to transform its industry. The Update also lists industries mentioned in the FYP and compares them to the key industries mentioned in the Made in China Initiative from 2015. Last but not least the document lists seven key industries from the digital economy.
