Industrie 4.0 in a Global Context Strategies for Cooperating with International Partners
Introduction
PARTNER PUBLICATION - With the transformation of the economy towards Industrie 4.0 operational processes from subcontracting to customer service are linked. The resulting value creation networks require new forms of cooperation from companies at national and global level. In which areas should German companies cooperate? What are the risks opposing the potential synergies and competitive advantages? The authors of this study deal with these questions about opportunities and challenges of international cooperation in the field of Industrie 4.0.
The study is based on more than 150 interviews with experts from Germany, China, Japan, South Korea, the UK and the USA. These countries are considered to be a major supplier of industrial solutions for the future, and hence interesting potential cooperation partners for Germany.
