International cooperation and networking for open, digital ecosystems

Open, digital ecosystems enable new ways of doing business and working - an idea reflected in the 2030 vision of Plattform Industrie 4.0. Both current and future value creation are based on global networks. As such, the shaping of digital ecosystems can only succeed through international dialogue and transnational approaches to solutions. This is why Plattform Industrie 4.0 is cooperating closely with its international partners to discuss future issues and address the challenges that need global answers.

The German Federal Government and the Plattform Industrie 4.0 work closely together to create open, digital ecosystems. Their work is complemented by the activities of various partners which are also active internationally: for example, the Standardization Council Industrie 4.0 for international standardisation; the Labs Network Industrie 4.0 to support SMEs in practical testing and transfer to standardisation, the Industrial Digital Twin Association (IDTA) for the implementation of the digital twin; and GAIA-X for the development of a federated data infrastructure for Europe. Representatives of these partners are often directly involved Plattform Industrie 4.0’s international cooperation. The topics of the international cooperation extend into all areas of the 2030 vision and continue to develop dynamically.
