Setting the Stage for a New Era
Industrie 4.0 Reveals the Future of Data-driven Industry
Introduction
Under the banner “Data-driven Industry – Shaping a New Era”, a wide range of partners from science and industry will demonstrate innovative solutions at the Plattform Industrie 4.0 joint stand – from Manufacturing-X to the industrial metaverse.
March 31, 2025, Hanover – The Plattform Industrie 4.0 joint stand in Hall 8, booth D26, is set to showcase a new era. Supported by policymakers and scientists, industry in Germany has reached a decisive milestone in its digital transformation. The data-based industry of the future promises almost unlimited new opportunities.
Focusing on three pillars of the new era: Manufacturing-X, 8ra Initiative, and Ecosystem Mobility 4.0
Visitors to the Industrie 4.0 joint stand will immediately sense the scale of the transformation already being shaped by science and industry in this new era. Covering everything from essential technical fundamentals to interactive exhibits, the stand will focus on three areas:
Manufacturing-X will present projects with interactive demonstrators and industrial metaverse applications that make industrial value chains more competitive, resilient, and sustainable. It will showcase innovations that are essential to successfully scaling data ecosystems in industry. Visitors will see how small and medium-sized enterprises, in particular, can unlock new value creation in data ecosystems.
The 8ra Initiative, which emerged from the IPCEI-CIS cloud project, will present concepts and technologies that are helping to build a high-performance cloud-edge infrastructure with European values. Visionary projects will also demonstrate how data ecosystems are being created for the mobility sector under the Ecosystem Mobility 4.0 initiative. With all this and more, the joint stand will bring the new era of data-driven industry up close.
