Hannover Messe 2021 - Look Back and Recordings of the Events
Introduction
Industrie 4.0 in application. That was the topic of Plattform Industrie 4.0 and its partners at the Hannover Messe 2021. In many events and face-to-face meetings around the virtual booth, they discussed what the path to digital, resilient ecosystems looks like. The focus was on the digital twin, Industrie 4.0 DataSpace and sustainable production. Did you miss out on anything? The recordings of the events are now online.
This was a first: A completely virtual Hannover Messe. Also the Platform Industrie 4.0 booth went digital. Nevertheless, thousands of visitors came by, sent their business cards and inquiries, arranged appointments or video calls and visited the numerous events of the platform and its partners. There was also lively discussion on the website and social media channels, with over a hundred thousand views of the new publications, videos, reports and posts.
The joint booth of the Standardization Council Industrie 4.0 (SCI 4.0) and the Labs Network Industrie 4.0 (LNI 4.0) remains available for you. You can browse the current results, implementation projects, demonstrators and new publications in German and English.
High-ranking national and international representatives from politics, business, associations and trade unions discussed the progress made on the way to digital, resilient ecosystems. The focus was in particular on the digital twin, Industrie 4.0 data spces and sustainability.
Sustainable production - the digital circular economy as an update for Industry 4.0
Plattform Industrie 4.0 showed development paths for sustainable production and presented companies that are already producing in line with the circular economy. A panel discussion with leading sustainability experts from companies and associations highlighted the potentials and challenges for industrial companies on the way to a digital circular economy.
Legal-testbed – for the (legally) secure implementation of Industrie 4.0
In Industrie 4.0, machines should communicate with other machines and make decisions independently. Legal and security challenges arise. In the pilot project “Industrie 4.0 Legal Testbed”, experts from various disciplines developed Industrie 4.0-compliant solutions and presented their (interim) results for the first time at HM 2021.
Plattform Industrie 4.0 and its international partners jointly reflected on the challenges and efforts in the digitalization of industry. There were representatives from Australia, China, India, Japan, Korea, the Netherlands, the USA as well as from the EU and GAIA-X-AISBL.
GAIA-X – for manufacturing - The potential of a sovereign data infrastructure
Plattform Industrie 4.0 and the GAIA-X AISBL presented use cases that demonstrate the added value of an open and transparent data infrastructure for the manufacturing industry. The event also provided insights into the technical roadmap leading to the implementation of the GAIA-X data ecosystem.
