Berlin, 18. January 2017. Industry 4.0 does not stop at national borders, thereby the digital transformation of production has to be seen as an international task. The EU Stakeholder Forum is the start of an annual series of events and brings together European experts from the worlds of politics, business as well as research at the end of January to discuss joint action requirements and solutions. The focus is on the digital single market, data sovereignty, digital skills and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The event is organised by the European Commission and the BMWi – the Plattform Industrie 4.0 supports as a host initiative in planning and implementation.

State Secretary Matthias Machnig is opening the two-day programme together with the EU Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society, Günther Oettinger. Participants can attend workshops, learn from successful Industry 4.0 application and visit regional companies that already use digital innovations in their production.

The first EU Stakeholder Forum „Digitising European Industry“ takes place on 31. January and 1. February 2017 at Grand Hall Zollverein (Kokereiallee 9, 45141 Essen, Germany).

We would be pleased by your attendance!
