To equip ourselves for the race for tomorrow’s products and markets, the foundations for the digital transformation of our industries must be laid today. This is one of the central tasks in the coming years, a task that we want to tackle together in Plattform Industrie 4.0. We are now looking back at a year of successful achievements in relation to Plattform Industrie 4.0. We have succeeded in bringing together a network of diverse expertise and perspectives, in identifying challenges, in making recommendations on courses of action, and in providing businesses with information. In this brochure, Plattform Industrie 4.0 is presenting the results of its work and the discussions that have been going on up to now. Its goal is to provide the impetus for the successful digital transformation of the German economy.
