The application scenarios formulated in the working paper describe the vision of the German industry of its digital future. These show on the one hand with which innovations the German industry wants to go into the digital future and on the other hand the key challenges and issues that they must meet. Based on the research roadmap established by the platform, the scenarios were systematically analysed in relation to available and still-to-be developed technological fields.
