Cooperation between the Plattform Industrie 4.0 and the Australian Industry 4.0 Task Force
With their collaboration, the initiatives would like to leverage the great economic potential for the economy in Germany and Australia. Its main points of emphasis are: reference architectures, norms and standards, the support of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), Industry 4.0 test centres, the security of interconnected systems, and work, education and training.
The seal was set on the cooperation at the Hannover Messe 2017 in the presence of the then Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Brigitte Zypries and the Australian ambassador Lynette Wood in a joint statement. The foundation of the cooperation agreement is existing bilateral initiatives which aim to promote closer relations between Germany and Australia. They include the 'Australia-Germany Treaty on Science and Technology Cooperation' of 1976 and the 'Australia-Germany Advisory Group' (AGAG) of 2014.
