The Plattform Industrie 4.0 and its international alliances

We need to tackle the chances and challenges of digitalisation across borders and together. This is key for the Federal Government and the Plattform Industrie 4.0. In numerous bilateral and mulitlateral cooperations we discuss trendsetting questions and form the international debate on digital transformation.

TRILATERAL

Germany - Italy - France

The initiatives on digitisation in production from Germany, France and Italy have agreed on a trilateral cooperation to strengthen and support digitisation processes in their respective production areas.

GERMAN-CHINESE INTERGOVERNMENTAL COOPERATION

China

Both sides adopted the action plan "Shaping innovation together!" in light of the German-Chinese intergovernmental consultations in October 2014. Building up on those results three German-Chinese cooperation strings were established which support cooperation in intelligent manufacturing / Industrie 4.0.

ROBOT REVOLUTION INITIATIVE

Japan

Germany and Japan are central partners for industrial digitisation. After a first meeting in Japan in 2016, the Plattform Industrie 4.0 and the Robot Revolution Initiative signed a joint agreement for future cooperation to walk the talk.

INDUSTRIAL INTERNET CONSORTIUM

USA

The Plattform Industrie 4.0 and the Industrial Internet Consortium developed a roadmap to assess the alignment of both architecture models RAMI (Reference Archticture Model for Industrie 4.0) and IIRA (Industrial Internet Reference Architecture) to secure future interoperability between systems.

ALLIANCE INDUSTRIE DU FUTUR

France

At Hannover Messe 2019 the french alliance Industrie du Futur and the Plattform Industrie 4.0 intensified their cooperation which started with a conference back in 2015. Both initiatives developed a joint action plan.

GERMAN-ITALIAN INTERGOVERNMENTAL COOPERATION

Italy

The Italian Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy agreed on closer cooperation on Industrie 4.0 in light of joint chances and challenges.

GERMAN-CZECH INTERGOVERNMENTAL COOPERATION

Czech Republic

The BMBF and the Czech Ministry for Industry and Trade (MPO) have agreed to intensify their cooperation on Industrie 4.0 in Prague in October 2015.

GERMAN-AUSTRALIAN INTERGOVERNMENTAL COOPERATION

Australia

The Plattform Industrie 4.0 and the Industry 4.0 Taskforce by the Australian ambassador have agreed on a closer cooperation at the Hannover Messe 2017.

SUPRANATIONAL

G20

The Plattform Industrie 4.0 gets involved on a multilateral level to promote digitalisation of industry.
