Panel 1: Same or different? Identifying security challenges along the industrial value chain

Security and trust – those are two of the key factors for successful global industrial value networks. Representatives from the industrial sector and Industrie 4.0-initiatives all over the world discuss the need for cybersecurity and trustworthiness for global industrial value networks. Moreover, they identify security requirements at different stages of the value network and across national borders and describe security challenges and possible approaches from their point of view.
The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Melinda Crane.

Robert Martin, Senior Principal Engineer of the MITRE Corporation // Member of the Industrial Internet Consortium Steering Committee
Profile: He has dedicated his career to working on solving some of the world's most difficult problems in systems and software engineering - including cybersecurity, Y2K, and application security and assurance. Much of his work has focused on the interplay of risk management, cybersecurity, and quality assessment and assurance. Over the past 17 years, Robert has applied his expertise to international cybersecurity initiatives such as CVE, CWE, CQE, and assurance cases which each have large active vendor and research communities.
Yuri Rassega, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Enel
Profile: Prior to that, between 2014 and 2016, he was Enel's Head of the ICT Global Solution Centre AFC, HR and Procurement, and between 2004 and 2014 he headed the Group's Global ICT Audit Function. He joined Enel in 2001 as the Head of ICT Function in Enel Hydro. Before joining Enel, Mr. Rassega served in several roles in the ICT industry, involving the development of ERP, SCADA, ACS, and ICS solutions for technology, financial, banking and telecommunication companies. He has also co-invented a number of digital fraud-detection tools and methods patented in Europe and USA.

Thomas Walloschke became a member in numerous workgroups of national and European industrial associations including AIOTI.
